This is the first edition of our new Product Management Newsletter! This will be a series of updates to keep customers informed of new functionality in Dualog products.

Dualog Drive

🔍 New feature: Malware Scanning 

If you are using Drive to move and synchronise files, you can now add an extra layer of security with Malware Scanning. It uses multiple state-of-the-art scanners and, in particular, reduces the risk of zero day attacks. It runs in the cloud and can be enabled per task.

🔔 Desktop Notifications for Dualog Drive

We’ve introduced Windows desktop notifications to keep recipients informed in real-time. Users logged in at the Dualog Drive computer will receive notifications when files arrive and can click the notifications to open new/updated files immediately.

Dualog Mail & Quota

👩‍💻 New and Easier Crew Account Management

We have improved crew account management in the Dualog Portal.

  • Unified Crew Management: all crew-related functions are consolidated under a single page, Ship Staff, for better organisation and efficiency.
  • Easier User Creation: we’ve added a new CSV import function and an API for user management, making it faster and more efficient to add new users.
  • Integration with CMS: we now have a Crew Management System integration with multiple partners. Let us know if you want an integration with your provider!  
  • Self-Service Portal: existing crew members can manage their accounts more easily via crew.dualog.com. They can update passwords, enable multi-factor authentication (MFA), and access their personal email (if applicable). 
  • Onboarding: new crew members can now be onboarded effortlessly using an activation link. Invite 1000’s of users at once and let the user set a passord and MFA directly. 

The improvements above are part of an exciting change to Dualog Business Mail. More information on this will follow in the next couple of months. Stay tuned!

Dualog Endpoint

⚠️All Issues Summarised in One Place

What’s new: 

  • The new “Issues” page categorises problems using ticket-style tracking, making it easier to identify and resolve installation-related issues.
  • Instead of only flagging outdated installations, the system now considers the context. For example:
    • If a device has been offline for three days, it won’t be marked as outdated. It will instead be flagged as offline.
    • Issues are determined based on cause-and-effect logic. If an installation is considered lost, it won’t also show as offline or outdated.
    • If ESET is offline, related issues (such as required restarts) won’t be displayed until ESET is back online. 

The Issues-page replaces the previous “Attention Required” section in Dualog Endpoint. Smarter issue detection helps you easily maintain your endpoint solution by reducing unnecessary alerts and manual work.
